The Southern Squash League is proud to host Melbourne’s only dedicated Women’s squash league — a space where competitive spirit, friendship, and community come together. This league isn't just about rankings or results — it's about representation. About women showing up, suiting up, and standing tall on court.

Match Format
  • Most teams play weekly matches on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings (depending on grade/venue)
  • Matches are best-of-5 games, PAR-15 scoring
  • Matches won are decided based on total games won

Hosting clubs often provide supper or snacks, but check with your captain for your venue.

Grading

Grading is done in collaboration between clubs and the SSL committee.

If you're unsure where you fit, ask your club for a grading assessment.

Finals & Eligibility

To play in finals, a player must:

  • Have played at least one third of matches during the regular season
  • Must have completed a RAP course within the current season or one of the 7 seasons immediately prior to the current season
